Culinary Education:

Why Cooking:
I love pastry, because there is lots of room to be creative. The sky's the limit to what you can come up with. It gives me a creative outlet and there is always something new to learn.
Favorite food:
I like most foods, but I particularly love the nostalgia attached to food. One of my favorite things to eat growing up was my mom’s homemade tomato sauce and meatballs.
Who inspired you:
I’m inspired by all the chef mentors I’ve had through culinary school. They all come from different backgrounds and have a different perspective to offer. I am particularly inspired by Chef Sergio Shidomi, my coach for the Skills Canada Competition. I spent just over a year training with him and I learnt so much, in both technique and theory in a short span of time.
Things I like to do when I am not cooking:
When I am not in the kitchen I like to read, listen to music and explore the area surrounding me.
Being a member of Youth Team Canada:
I am very excited about being on this team. The competitions have pushed me to learn my trade at an accelerated rate, and to work at the very best level that I can.
